EYELID DEFENCE has been designed by an Ophthalmologist and Eye Surgeon to protect, rejuvenate and restore the delicate skin on the upper and lower eyelids.

EYELID DEFENCE has undergone stringent and specific testing to provide a SPF rating as required by ASIC and consumer law. It’s formulation, including high quality zinc, means it provides a natural, non-chemical and physical barrier against harmful UV rays. As it is a cosmeceutical product we are only able to officially list it as SPF15.

• Laracare A200 Galactoarabinan helps to reduce Transepidermal Water Loss (TEWL), help reduce appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
• Hycare (Sodium Hyaluronate) reinforces the skin’s natural short, provides long term moisturization, can help improve the barrier function of the skin and skin elasticity, may help reduce maximum skin roughness resulting in reduced wrinkle depth.
• Bakuchiol is a natural alternative to Retinol without having any of the negatives associated with Retinol, clinically proven to reduce multiple signs of ageing – Significant reduction in roughness & dryness; fine lines & wrinkles and improvement in skin tone, elasticity & firmness; radiance and brightness.
• Squalane helps protect the skin against loss of moisture, makes it elastic and pliant, and thereby improves the structure of the natural lipid film.
• Caffeine is reported to have antioxidant properties, to improve microcirculation and blood flow, may help to reduce puffy eyes and dark rings around the eye.
• Aloe Vera Leaf Juice is a recognised skin soothing and anti-inflammatory active.
• Glycerine and Propanediol is proven to increase skin moisture.

EYELID DEFENCE has been carefully formulated to include a combination of ingredients to ensure that the sensitive skin area is not irritated, that it doesn’t run or seep into the eyes if a person becomes sweaty, or if a person has allergy sensitivities.

This will be true for most of the people that use EYELID DEFENCE. However, as every person is different and has different skin and sensitivities, some people will experience stinging when applying EYELID DEFENCE to their eyelid skin and area. If this does happen we recommend to discontinue use.

EYELID DEFENCE is a cosmeceutical product with a scientifically tested SPF and so it both moisturises the skin and protects it from the sun.

Because EYELID DEFENCE is classified as a cosmeceutical product it can only be marketed as SPF 15, which is has easily achieved through testing.

Yes. The active ingredients in EYELID DEFENCE help to generate collagen and reduce puffiness, all working towards a more youthful skin appearance.

Yes. EYELID DEFENCE works well as a primer under makeup as it is non-greasy and is also illuminating due to the zinc oxide in the formula. However, it is also intended to be worn without make up.

EYELID DEFENCE is designed to be used over both eyelids (upper and lower) and to not sting or run.

It is also safe to be used over the whole face and any other skin.

A little bit of EYELID DEFENCE goes a long way. One pump should provide ample product to cover both eyelid areas (upper and lower).

EYELID DEFENCE was created by Dr Ben LaHood, who is a globally recognised ophthalmologist and eye surgeon, in response to many of his patients telling him that the reason they didn’t apply sunscreen over their eyelids, and hence suffered from skin cancers in this area, was because it stung their eyes and eyelid skin.
