Dr Ashiyana Nariani is an absolutely inspirational ophthalmologist. Born and raised in the USA, she trained in cornea, refractive surgery and ocular oncology at Duke University as well as working with the World Health Organisation. Her passion to care for the underserved brought her to India where she strives not only to care for those less fortunate but teach her trainees about the importance of patient advocacy. She continues to be involved in global education and is someone we can all learn from in ophthalmology and in life.
