Predicting the Future - Surgical Outcomes

AUSCRS Presentation

Today I recorded my presentation for the Australasian Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (AUSCRS) meeting to be held this Saturday. It was an honour to be invited to speak at the one day virtual event. AUSCRS is one of my favourite meetings that I really look forward to. I like to think of the European version (ESCRS) often being the big formal refractive meeting for the year where new technology is unveiled and groundbreaking research is released. AUSCRS is a smaller, more friendly and far more casual version where you get a chance to rub shoulders with invited speakers, discuss practical issues and often get involved in some lively debate. At todays recording I was told to remove my tie as that is not the AUSCRS way to be formal. Most years we end up on stage dressed up in costumes. It lets people feel more comfortable to talk and I’m sure even though this year is virtual, there will be many surprises to come. My topic this year is “Predicting the Future of Surgical Outcomes”. I hope you will join the session on Saturday online to find out what my predictions are. See you there!
