In 2022’s last issue of @crstoday Cataract and Refractive Surgery Today , my esteemed colleagues from around the world including @ikeahmed @sherazdaya@cmccabe1313 @lasik_coach discuss collaborating with industry.

This is a topic close to my heart as these collaborations have changed my career, given me opportunities and experiences I could not have imagined. From traveling to China to educate about new IOLs with @zeissgroup to hosting a podcast supported by @alconlifeand many presentations and advisory boards in between!

While I’m sure some of my colleagues see these relationships with industry as extra work or “selling out”, they are vital for developing the right new products, making sure we are all working in the same direction and any extra work is completely worth it.
