The latest edition of Cataract & Refractive Surgery Today is all about IOL exchange surgery. It’s an operation that nobody enjoys as it indicates that a patient has been unhappy with their original implant. The surgery can be tricky and often patient expectation is high.

My contribution is all about dealing with IOL exchange in the setting of capsule phimosis. I discuss pre-operative options such as YAG laser radial incisions all the way through to femto laser assisted techniques.
